An event themed “Gaza: A Geography of Resistance from History to the Present” was held.
The program, held on Monday, October 27, 2025, aimed to draw attention to the oppression in Gaza, to remind the Palestinian people of their honorable resistance, and to foster a sense of belonging to the Ummah among students.


The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Theology, Prof. Dr. Muhammet Sadık Akdemir, faculty members, students, and numerous guests. The program began with a recitation from the Quran.



The program, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Halit Çiftçi and attended by Prof. Dr. Muharrem Gürkaynak and Retired Imam-Hatip Bekir Sağlam as speakers, addressed Gaza's historical resistance process, the consciousness of the Ummah, and the responsibility of solidarity in Muslim geographies.



The event also featured a poem titled "Lament for Jerusalem," accompanied by hymns that created a spiritual atmosphere. At the end of the program, participants were presented with certificates of appreciation.
